About the Owner - Award winner Face Painter, Body Painter Special FX and Watercolour Artist, Robyn Janetzki

I am blessed to come from an amazingly creative family of Artists, Actors, Writers, Musicians and Scientists. My Grandfather carved beautiful furniture and lovingly built several instuments including bagpipes and three violins, one of which my son plays. It's in my bones to be creative and musical.

I am a mostly self taught Artist, and paint Watercolours, Acrylics and Trompe L'Oeil as well as creating many craftworks including Fleece Pictures, Felting, Macrame, Weaving, Sewing and hand painted glass windchimes. I have also been in a few bands and musical groups including Alkami with Katrina Ross, Future Native and Harmony in Paradise, singing and/or playing guitar and congas. I create most of my costumes, wings and accessories.

My first brush with facepainting was as the assistant at Circus Bizurcus, at the Steiner School where I worked. The children loved have their faces painted!
Following a Semi-trailer and 3 car crash in 2002 I found myself dressing as a Fairy, painting childrens faces. The love and joy you create with this Art helped my recovery enormously.

So now, with 17 years of child care work and many years of Facepainting behind me, I was granted a Professional Development Arts Grant from Arts Qld and the Gold Coast City Council. With this grant I studied Facepainting, Body Art, Magic and Balloon Comedy from the many wonderful Instructors at the Wonder Down Under Convention in Melbourne in September 2007. I also trained in June 2008, Sept 2009 , Sept 2010 and Oct 2010 with Brian and Nick Wolfe, learning about the structure of the face and how to create designs that work every time. I have trained with Internationally recognised Makeup Artiste,Jinny from Canada, who is a judge at the World Body Painting Championships in Austria, Mark Reid, Lyn Jamieson and Ambah O'Brian to name a few.
I also competed at the Australian Body Art Carnivale at Eumundi in September, making the finals in the Body Art. I was a finalist in the World Speed Body Painting Championships in Adelaide in 2010, and won second place for Face Painting( see images below) and also in Body Painting at the Gold Coast Body Painting Expo in Sept 2010. I also placed second in Special Effects at the Australian Body Art Carnivale in 2011.

I specialise in Corporate Body Painting including logos and themed designs. I am a flexible Artist, fast, willing and able to provide you with what you want.

I frequent Medieval Fayres, the Winter Solstice Festival in Burleigh, have painted for the Australian Socceroos, the Titans, Gold Coast United, Q1, Nickolodean , Brisbane Lions, Kellogs Ironman, Anaconda Adventure race, Stockland, Gold Coast Suns, Queensland Parliament, Adidas, Jupiter's Casino and have Body Painted recently for the Premier of Queensland's Export Awards..
